Answer

Use iTunes. It is needed to sync any media to your iPod. You can also incorporate any tracks from CDs and other downloaded sources such as Limewire, as long as you go through iTunes. When your iPod is connected, you want to make sure that on the first tab, the quotManually manage music and videosquot box is checked. Otherwise, under the music tab, when sync music is checked and then you uncheck it, it will take all automatically synced media off the iPod. That may be the problem you are having. Make sure that Manually manage music and videos box is checked. You can also then drag and drop music from the iTunes Library right onto the iPod icon on the left. ALL SONGS MUST BE IN YOUR iTUNES LIBRARY ON YOUR COMPUTER FIRST BEFORE DOWNLOADING INTO YOUR iPOD. Otherwise, it wont go.brbrHope this helps.
