I have had different cellphone providers. Handsdown VERIZON is the BEST. Here is WHYbr Their coverage emcompasses the most area in the U.S. br Their SIGNAL STRENGTH is the best I have experienced. NO dropped calls. I used to have Cingular too many dropped calls. br Verizon may cost a little more BUT I got a tire blowout whie driving along a MOUNTAIN TOP, and the Verizon phone allowed me to call for help. br Again even tho Verizon may cost a little more, you do NOT want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere and not be able to reach anyone for help! br I had verizon cell phones, because I moved to a different state, and I kept the Verizon PayAsYouGo, because when I crunched the numbers, if I remain below minutes per month using the Pay As You Go Phone is cheaper. I only generally use it for important calls or emergencies.brIF you use your phone a lot, then you may prefer using the regular plan. br While Trac Fone has good ads, I investigated them beforehand, and was VERY disappointed. brGood Luck
